US Perfin Postmark Database

Our members are in the process of assembling earliest known and latest known usages of United States perfins – as recorded by postmarks. The database is a list of every recognized United States perfin, with postmark information as known.  Click this link to view/download the database:

US Perfin Postmark Database

A few words about the abbreviations that are being used:

EKP = Earliest Known Postmark
LKP = Latest Known Postmark
OKP = Only Known Postmark

If the postmark falls into one of these categories, but only the year can be read, then question marks are used to denote the month and day.

Collectors are encouraged to submit new information to the U.S. Catalog Chair. Many perfin patterns are quite easy to read and identify. Others are difficult to accurately identify versus similar patterns. In the latter case, collectors are requested to submit a scan (at 300dpi) of the stamp in question.

Thank you for your participation in this project.
